    Values (Axiology)

This is our version of Robert S. Hartman's HVP. This incredible assessment measures empathy, practical thinking, structured thinking, self-esteem, role-awareness, and self-direction.

Knowing your value framework keeps you better orientated and aware when you are in rapidly changing, ill-defined, or dynamic-fuzzy uncertain situations where improvisation is required. Our value framework matters because it's the natural way we shape our experiences into something meaningful for ourselves. Our value framework highlights areas where we experience things narrowly (like seeing through a straw) and other areas with a clear vision of a bigger picture.

Let's say that you are reading a contract, and you can read most of the contract just fine, but you cannot read the fine print. Would you sign the contract? No, of course not! But you have a trusted friend who can read the fine print and reads it to you. Now, what would you do? This how your value framework works. There are areas where you have apparent values and other values that are not as clear. It is the accumulation of your experiences over time and how you value them that matters.

At our best in this particular area, we willingly embrace order and structure and submit ourselves to regulated systems that we know will be beneficial for our safety and prevent costly mistakes. We comprehend the distinction between being creative and being functional and reliable. We reject our stubbornness or the temptation to disobey proper organization and authorities and the advantages they offer.

This score measures your capacity for seeing and appreciating your Personal Value. When positive, you can see and appreciate your abilities and limitations without preconceived stipulations and expectations. It also measures what your mind is focused on. This score measures your capacity for seeing and appreciating your Functional Value as it relates to your work and your place in social settings, giving you confidence and satisfaction in your roles and a sense of contribution.
